Fern Cottage...

sits high above the Jackson river Valley with majestic views of the surrounding mountains and forest. White tail deer graze in the meadows. a wonderful variety of birds dine at the porch feeder each day.

 Comfortable antiques and art from various corners of the world
provide an atmosphere of serenity and congeniality.                      

 Fern Cottage has a comfortable light filled living room with a dining table that seats six, a kitchen, and the upstairs bathroom has a large porcelean tub. There is also a wonderful outside cedar shower. The cottage has two baths, 2 1/2 bedrooms and sleeps 5-6 people.

The deck has spectacular mountain views for outdoor dining and
stargazing (the Garden Room is available for larger groups).           

 During the summer, temperatures are warm during the day and cool at night. The lack of light pollution in the night sky and the absence of mosquitoes add to the joy of stargazing. The natural beauty, comfort, peace and privacy offer a welcome retreat.

From Washington, D.C.:
Take I-66 West to I-81 South. Continue to Staunton Exit 225 onto Rt 275.
Take Rt. 275 for 5 miles, then take the exit onto Rt. 250 West. Turn right onto 250 West. Take Rt. 250 West for approximately 45 miles to Monterey.  Turn left at the light in Monterey, and take Rt. 220 South 3.8 miles to Cloud Hill Farm. The entrance to Cloud Hill Farm is on the right between two posts.
 
From Richmond, VA:
Take I-64 West to Staunton.  At Staunton, take I-81 North to Exit 225 onto Rt. 275. Stay on Rt. 275 for 5 miles, then take the exit to Rt. 250 West. Turn right onto 250 West. Take Rt. 250 West for approximately 45 miles to Monterey. Turn left at the light in Monterey, and take Rt. 220 South 3.8 miles to Cloud Hill Farm. The entrance to Cloud Hill Farm is on the right between two posts.

Daily Rates (two night minimum):
$165.00 per night on weekends (per couple)*

During July and August
$165.00 per night on weekdays (per couple, 2-night minimum)*

Other times
$145.00 per night on weekdays (per couple, 2-night minimum)*

Weekly Rates:
$800.00 per week (per couple)*

Specials!
In September: stay any 2 mid-week nights (Monday through Thursday), and get one night free!
In September: $145.00 per night weekends (per couple)

*each additional person $30.00
